It took years of planning and experimenting to create this clock, but when the work was finally complete, the artist’s treasured wish was fulfilled, and it was hung in the Western Wall Plaza. Painstakingly sculpted from Jerusalem ceramic, the huge clock depicts the Beit Hamikdash at its center, in a dreamlike image embellished with 24-karat gold. All around it, the names and symbols of the Twelve Tribes of Israel are emblazoned in relief, skillfully hand-painted in vibrant hues. All these elements come together in a work of art worthy of its place, and its replica will glorify any space where it is hung.
