This wall relief depicting the Beit Hamikdash, the Holy Temple in Jerusalem, is sculpted in particularly fine detail, with an emphasis on dimensions. Richly embellished with pure platinum and 24-karat gold, it is not only an impressive work of art, but historically accurate as well. The artist consulted rabbis with expertise on the Temple, such as Rabbi Koren, editor of the Talmudic Encyclopedia, and Rabbi Shmuel Rabinovitch, Rav of the Jerusalem’s holy sites, among others who gave generously of their time and knowledge to help the artist create a work of correct dimensions and rare beauty. Gazing upon it, the viewer is swept into the experience of Jerusalem in its full glory, with the Beit Hamikdash standing at its center.
