Light in the Darkness

This unique piece of wall art, sculpted by the artist’s skilled hand in Jerusalem ceramic, hand-painted and embellished with 24-karat gold and platinum, depicts the Western Wall against a pitch-black sky. The Wall seems to be illuminated from within in this piece, which was actually inspired by events around President Donald Trump’s visit to the Kotel on May 22, 2017. Certain Muslim groups were so enraged by the visit that they extinguished the lights on the Temple Mount, unwittingly setting the scene for this stirring work of art.
