The design concept, stemming from the artist’s inspiration or the client’s idea, takes its first tangible form as a rough draft, sketched on paper or by computer imaging.
Modeling:
Once the preliminary sketch is approved, sculpting of the proportions and depths of the item can begin, either in full size or a scaled-down model. The workshop is filled with the earthy aroma of fine clay, and pliable strips of ceramic will change form thousands of times as our artists apply techniques both ancient and modern.
Drying:
First, the piece will be allowed to dry naturally, which takes about two weeks in the summer and up to a month in the winter. Only then is it transferred to a kiln which will fuse all the distinct parts together into one object.
Painting:
An artist’s sensitive hand applies high quality paints to the piece to emphasize every detail, followed by a glaze that will serve as a basis for the final painting.
The Finish:
The piece is decorated with accents of 24-karat gold and platinum, and then it goes through a final kilning which melds it into a consolidated, opulent work of art.
Delivery:
A piece meant for hanging is now framed entirely by hand. Sculptures and other art objects that stand on their own or are displayed on shelves are now carefully crated and dispatched to clients throughout Israel and abroad.
Installation:
Small items are delivered personally to the client’s address. When required, studio staff will come and install the work of art safely and professionally.
