We Stood at Your Gates

A double-paneled wall relief is formed like the characteristic walls and arched gateways of Jerusalem’s Old City. Through one gate we see a landscape of Jerusalem viewed from within the Old City Walls, with the Citadel of David towering over the Judean hills in the background. Through the other gate is a magnificent view of the Western Wall with the Beit Hamikdash, our Holy Temple, rising majestically behind it. Entirely hand-sculpted from Jerusalem ceramic, delicately hand-painted, and richly embellished with platinum and 24-karat gold, this stunning wall sculpture is an awe-inspiring sight.
